Whew

Seriously, that’s the one word that comes to mind as I write this. I feel like I finally have time to actually write a blog.

Caleb is feeling much better, poor kid. He still has the head cold but the flu part has surpassed. What a trooper huh?

It was hard coming back to reality and a seven day work week after vacation but I’m hanging in there.

I’m 23 weeks pregnant today. I can’t believe how quickly it has already gone by. My stomach is defiantly sticking out (and starting to be very noticeable when I forget it’s there) and he is moving all the time. Every time Caleb tries to feel him move he stops moving. It’s amusing....this one has my stubborn streak as well.

I’ve been feeling much much better. I still have the sinuses and cough a little but nothing major. I think it helps finally being able to get adequate rest. Other then tiredness I feel good. I almost wouldn’t know I was pregnant if he didn’t move and my belly wasn’t there. My next doctor’s appointment is on the 2nd.

Now that life has settled down and I’m on the same shift for the remainder of my pregnancy, you can expect more frequent blogs from me.

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any guesses?

We’ve seemed to have started a tradition around here. I don’t know about you but I prefer NOT to sled on frozen snow. So instead we have taken up night sledding. Last year at the apartments we went out sledding one snowy night on the hill there. It was a blast. Then the other night it was snowing hard and covering the ground quite well. Caleb comes walking out in his snow bib, jacket, gloves, all ready to sled. I couldn’t tell him no. So once again, it was night sledding on the hill next to our yard. It was great! He loved it!

So tomorrow (Friday) is the big day. My appointment is at 3:30 pm. Any guesses? Boy? Girl?

I had a very sweet talk with the baby asking him/her to cooperate.

I’ll let you know tomorrow!

20 Weeks

It was nice having Caleb home yesterday. I miss him so much when he’s gone. Him and I played some cards and colored. I can’t wait for time change and the weather to clear up so we can go outside and have fun! Tonight is basketball which I always enjoy watching.

Today I am half way through my pregnancy. I can’t believe how much time has already went by since I found out I was pregnant. S/he’s 6 inches long from butt to head and weighs about 10 oz. S/he loves to stretch out really wide which makes my belly feel like it’s going to pop....weirdest thing ever! Still can’t feel her/him on the outside....hopefully soon. I don’t remember ever having Caleb do this.

I found a neat belly band thing at Target the other day....love it! I can wear my pants still thanks to it. Hopefully I’ll be able to wear them for a while. The big day is Friday............I have my ultrasound! I’m super excited! I can’t wait for Caleb to see his baby sister or brother too! I find myself wondering what this baby will be and look like. I’m rather anxious to see how different my kids will be, yet how similar too.
